Empowering Student Success: How the Eastin Foundation Supports Career Readiness at OSU

When Joe Eastin graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1992 with a degree in business administration, he knew that the lessons he learned on campus were only part of the story. Weeks before his induction into the OSU Hall of Fame, he told the magazine, “I had a great experience at OSU. It was great for me to get exposure to people from across the state and the country.” (Source: Oklahoma State News)

Today, the Eastin Center for Career Readiness—which Joe and Monica helped to launch—prepares students not just for jobs, but for lifelong career success.

Real Results, Real Lives

Since its founding, the Center has become a cornerstone of the Spears School of Business at OSU. In the 2020-23 period alone:

  • 5,265 student resumes were reviewed by professionals.

  • 3,647 one-on-one coaching appointments were completed.

  • 2,040 mock interviews were conducted.

  • 91% of students reported greater confidence in their career path after working with the Center.

These numbers are more than statistics—they reflect brighter futures, greater opportunity, and the kind of leadership readiness the Eastin Foundation champions.

What the Future Holds

As the Eastin Foundation continues its work, the Center remains a model of how strategic investment in leadership, education, and career readiness can shape long-term community impact. For current and future students, the path from campus to career is more defined—and more supported—than ever before.
